In the public zone, the individual visitors may use - on the spot - the systematized documents arranged on the open shelves of the collections.
The library users can read on the spot the documents of the lending stock being on the first floor, while using the comfortable chairs placed in the different areas. 
 
At the Information desk of the first floor and in the Children’s world, a collection of reference books is at the disposal of the readers for general information related to special fields of science and knowledge.
 
The documents arranged in the reading room and the Collection of Europe developed on the second floor can only be used by the registered members of the library.
 
The visitors entering the library building find local dailies, tabloid newspapers and advertising papers in the Library Meeting Place on the ground-floor. The Periodical reading room being on the first floor invites the readers with more than 170 different national and local dailies, journals and magazines.  
 
In the Children’s world the library has a fund of children’s newspapers and post cards collected for children under 12 years. There is also a collection of selected books both in Hungarian and in foreign languages especially for this age-group.
 
The Teen Zone offers printed and electronic documents of the European Union for all interested with no request of library membership card.

Listening to music Listening to music

Our users having valid library membership may listen to the sound recordings from our Music Collection at two points of our library as follows: in the Children's World on the ground floor and in the Music services on the second floor.
 
The Children's World library section offers children under 12 folk tales and pieces of music popular among children, at 14 posts in the listening station.
 
In the unit of Music services there are comfortable armchairs for 12 persons and 10 channels for listening to the music pieces of the collection as well as to the programmes of 11 different - also local - radio stations.

Watching films on the premises Watching films on the premises

Our users having valid library membership may come to our Music services section on the second floor to watch films on computer. Our DVD collection includes feature films, animated films, documentaries, theatrical performances and concerts.

Our films on VHS cassettes can be watched by our registered users only, individually, in our ‘Nature and Arts’ Reading room.

After registration, school groups are welcome to watch films on the spot.
